A faulty component monitored by EOBD does not

always turn on the MIL light on the dash board

straight away. The vehicle has to run through a

drive cycle to pend, then confirm DT Cs, before then

turning on the MIL light. Sealey ’s VS8801 and

VS8802 have a new feature which, using only

one click of a button , can tell the technician

which groups of sensors are ready for diagnosis and

have gone through the drive cycle. F or Pre

MOT work this is vital and enables the technician to

confirm that the MIL light will not come back on during

the MOT, creating a fail.

Save time and money, plus take the guess work out of fault finding and

diagnosis with CAN enabled EOBD diagnostic tools. Interrogate your

vehicle’s engine and emission faults with our updated range of tools

which reads and clears both pending and confirmed Diagnostic Trouble

Codes (DTC’s). The VS8800 is a new entry level tool which will display only

the DTC number – the description can be looked up on the CD supplied.

The VS8801 and VS8802 feature full colour screens and patented

one-click I/M readiness function. Both the larger units will read live data

direct from the vehicles ECU and the VS8802 will allow you to graph the

data enabling fast interpretation of engine per formance. In the event

that the software requires updating or the EOBD protocols are updated,

the VS8801 and VS8802 may be updated using a USB inter face. The

results from the VS8802 may be saved out to PC for sharing.

The VS8802 is also loaded with a Tech-Tips data base allowing you a more

rounded description of the DTC fault and some ideas about where to look

next to correct the fault – lik e having a professional technician on call

24/7.
